Water Baptism
Being water baptized does not save you, but it is an essential step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. When you take the plunge, you are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection.
Matthew 28:19 ESV Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
Acts 22:16 ESV And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.’
Water baptism is a public declaration of three important things: you are a follower of Jesus Christ, beginning a changed life in Christ, and part of a new family. You don’t need to be perfect; come as you are.
